The project design and some enabling works were carried out during 2006 and early 2007, before the maindesign and build contract was awarded to Scottish Hydro Contracting in April 2007.
Top-quality luxury materials (a signature Holly Hunt element) were a main focus of the design the rooms feature thick linens, cotton velvet and leather in the furniture and window coverings, darkened bronze for the door hardware, and bleached and stained oak and walnut wood used around the fireplaces.
