【Abstract】 This thesis, by evaluating Zhou Zuoren's biased concept on belle-letter, subsequently by introducing and commenting on political essay consciousness appeared at the turning period of 20th century from the perspective of sublime, logic and emotion, tolls a tragic bell for the fate of the political essay in the transitional period of Chinese modern essay and beckons the return of sublime with a tone of condolence.
