Today, approximately 185 northern hairy nosed wombats reside at Epping Forest and another 15 liveinthe 105-hectare Richard Underwood Nature Refuge nearby, making these the only northern hairy nosed colonies inthe world.
The bulk of the country's freshwater dolphin population liveinthe south-west of the country, especially inthe rivers and waterways of the Sunderbans mangrove forest.
