And the tide was going out, which didn't help. Man, we honestly thought we wouldn't make it back to shore. In the end, some nice guy in a kayak noticed us and alerted the life guards and we got a ride back to shore. When we got back, we were so tired we just lay there, in the sand, legs like jelly.
