Rattray decided to launch Change.org on the eve of starting lawschool at NYU. The company tried building social networking and fundraising tools for nonprofits.
The final team included two graduates of Columbia LawSchool, five from NYU, and four from Georgetown, as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst and two MBAs.
Less surprising was a brief by the Brennan Center for Justice at the NYUSchoolofLaw, which marshaled the socioeconomic evidence it thinks is needed to bolster the case.
