abstract:The Inter American Press Association (IAPA; Spanish: Sociedad Interamericana de Prensa, SIP) is a press advocacy group representing media organizations in North America, South America and the Caribbean. Founded in 1943, it represents more than 1,300 newspapers and magazines in the Americas.
He was known for making controversial claims about drug trafficking in Romana in his programmes and magazine, according to the InterAmericanPressAssociation (IAPA).
In 1997 Ms. O'Grady won the InterAmericanPress Association's Daily Gleaner Award for editorial commentary, and in 1999 she received an honorable mention in IAPA's opinion award category.
