Chief Executive Rupert Murdock announced his company was finalizing an agreement with several partners led by powerful private equity firm International Data Group(IDG), to launch a localized version of the popular MySpace.com. in China.
"You have to understand that the timeline for European legislation is very long, and the market has moved on faster than the commission can act, " Susen Sarkar, senior analyst at Yankee Group Europe, told IDG.
But two sources close to the matter told IDG News Service that 3Com has already begun talks with the WAP Forum, an industry group formed to promote the technology.
