Certainly, for one-finger hunt-n-peck typists, a virtual keyboard is probably little worse but for those of us who long ago took the trouble to learn how to type properly (I got my first typewriter at 13 and taught myself touch typing and can now type 60-80 wpm), trying to use a virtual keboard is like trying to run the 100 yard dash with your ankles tied together.
