“Buddy!” Jeremy reprehended warningly. However, it was too late. The stupid dog lunged at my throat. I sighed and easily side-stepped the blundering dog. He landed next to my leg and turned his head toward me, his eyes narrowing suspiciously. I glanced at Jeremy and but couldn't stop myself as he tensed, ready to spring again. I pulled up my lip and growled softly. Buddy instantly snapped out of the trance and bolted out of the room.
