One conceit he had was that he could tell things about people from his experience or knowledge of working in Human Resources. He did not know quite what but it was something he had heard about Human Resources at some point now too far back to remember when. None of the things he could tell about someone, you could not learn from psychology books. And he had read less than most of his colleagues. His colleagues had, at some time in their careers, read many psychology books. He asked a colleague one day what he could see in anyone.
