abstract:The Great Heathen Army (OE: mycel heathen here), also known as the Great Danish Army or The Great Viking Army, was group of hitherto uncoordinated bands of vikings that originated from Denmark, Norway and southern Sweden who came together under a unified command to invade England in 865 AD.
