abstract:Genetic enhancement refers to the use of genetic engineering to modify a person's nonpathological human traits. In contrast, gene therapy involves using genetic engineering to alter defective genes or insert corrected genes into the body in order to treat a disease.
And with the possibilities that synthetic biology, gene therapy, stem cells etc. introduce literally genetic-based performance-enhancement this issue is going to become a whole lot more complicated in the very near future.
