Gorka was inspired to become a folk musician in the early '80s, while working (and living) in a coffeehouse frequented by artists who were at the heart of the '60s folkrevival.
The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem, all kitted out in Aran sweaters knitted by Mrs Clancy, triumphantly rode the wave of a folkrevival that was turning Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie into stars.
