On Friday, coinciding with the U.S.-China film deal, DreamWorks Animation announced a joint venture with China Media Capital (CMC) and two other Chinese companies to establish a China-focused family entertainment company, Oriental DreamWorks.
For "The Croods, " a new DreamWorks Animation film about a family of cavemen which Fox is releasing Friday, Mr. Young collaborated on yet another song, called "Shine Your Way, " featuring the additional vocals of the Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna.
"Ice Age is the only animated series outside of DreamWorks Animation and Disney that has had any success tapping into the lucrative family audience, " says Jeff Bock of Exhibitor Relations.
