When everyone made it back to the house, Meredith started to go over the documents on retraining order. Vicky sat by the kitchen watching the sky darken and the cold rain drizzle across the yard. She wondered how she ended up with James in the first place. Sure, he approached her like any other guys. He said hi to her while she was getting her coffee near by work and started a conversation. At first, she wasn't sure if she was interested in him. And she was awfully shy with guys at the time. But he was persistent. He took his time and she eventually opened up to him. And he courted her like a gentleman and wooed her parents. It took her a while, even after the engagement, but she eventually realized she wasn't in love with him. She wasn't sure if he ever loved her either. Maybe he was infatuated by her.
