闽南，闽南地区( Hokkien)包括泉州、厦门、漳州三个地级市，以及龙岩市的新罗区、漳平市(两地原属古漳州府)，也包括周围大田、尤溪等县市的闽南语区。该地是福建省经济较发达的区域，北接福州市、莆田市，南与广东潮汕地区相连，西与原汀州府界交界。 2019年闽南（泉州，厦门，漳州）常住人口1819万人，实现地区生产总值20683.53亿元。
