abstract:A torsion beam suspension is a vehicle suspension similar to a trailing arm suspension but where both trailing arms are connected by a beam. It is also known as Twist-beam rear suspension.
The 2013 Nissan LEAF again uses an independent strut suspension with stabilizer bar in front and a torsionbeam rear suspension with integrated stabilizer bar.
The Veloster is seriously snouty, a consequence of it being a front-drive car with a transverse-mounted engine (the Veloster is very much a mechanical clone of the new Elantra, complete with torsion-beam rear suspension).
The 3's suspension with a proper multilink geometry in the back as compared with a torsion-beam rear axle remains composed under hard braking and cornering, and manages to quell big whoops from the road that would send other compacts into oscillating fits.
