abstract:Tarquin and Lucretia is an oil painting attributed to Titian, dated to around 1571. It was probably a commission for Philip II of Spain, remaining in his successors' collection until 1813, when it seems to have been taken to France by Joseph Bonaparte after he gave up the Spanish throne - after several private owners, it is now held at the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
