abstract:The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, is a special-purpose district that provides fire protection to the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County along with the cities of Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, and a small portion of Placer County. The agency is a combination of 16 smaller fire departments that merged.
