abstract:Peter I Island () is an uninhabited volcanic island in the Bellingshausen Sea, from Antarctica. It is claimed as a dependency of Norway, and along with Queen Maud Land and Bouvet Island comprises one of the three Norwegian dependent territories in the Antarctic and sub-Antarctic.
"It was a very successful trip from their perspective and there's obviously tremendous interest in what's happening on the island of Ireland because prior to that, the incoming president arrived in Dublin and both Peter and I were invited to meet with him in Dublin, " he said.
