Nominations shall be submitted to the Director-General by the governments of Member States, in consultation with their National Commissions, and by non-governmental organisations maintaining official partnerships with UNESCO.
For both prizes, up to three entrants may be nominated by the governments of their Member State, in consultation with their National Commission, or by a non-governmental organisation maintaining official partnership with UNESCO.
Applicants must be nominated by Member States, in consultation with their National Commissions, or by international non-governmental organisations maintaining official relations with UNESCO, and whose work involves the preservation and conservation of documentary heritage.
