Darnell (born May 18, 1962) is an American television executive who is most well known as the Director of Specials for the Fox broadcast network from 1994 until 2007, and president of alternative entertainment from August 2007 until June 2013, titles which effectively had him oversee the network's reality television programming division during the genre's rise.
"Right now and I'm not just saying this we are thrilled with the numbers, " that X Factor is delivering, says MikeDarnell, Fox's president of alternative entertainment.
"There's no question that there's a glut of these shows right now, " said MikeDarnell, president of alternative entertainment at Fox Broadcasting, who is credited with bringing "American Idol" to the network in 2002.
