The thirteen-year-old hero (Ethan Randall) and his kid sister (Thora Birch) conspire to reunite their divorced parents (Harley Jane Kozak and JameySheridan) on Christmas Eve.
The heroine is a shrink, played by Annabella Sciorra, and the plot is tinged with topicality: Sciorra dates and beds a ruggedly handsome aviator (Jamey Sheridan), who happens to be connected to one of her patients a voluptuous woman named Eve (Deborah Unger).
