Stern also chairs the Commercial Spaceflight Federation's Suborbital Applications Researchers Group and is a former NASA associate administrator for science.
He is on the board of the Jewish Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit and serves as chairman of its Investment Committee and as Associate Chairman of the Community Services Allocation Committee of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.
She is the Immediate Past-Chair of the Federation of State Medical Boards of the United States, and previously served as Associate Dean for Rural Health at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine.
