The older people's psychiatric liaison team was also said to be working well with medical staff and communitymentalhealthteams to enhance continuity of care.
This includes providing female staff and maintaining strong links with primary care, communitymentalhealthteams and other voluntary and statutory organisations involved in the women's care.
The government also said it was trialling a community nursing scheme in four health board areas, where teams would assess children for mentalhealth issues.
