abstract:Chest physiotherapy (CPT) is the treatments generally performed by physiotherapists (in Canada) and respiratory therapists whereby breathing is improved by the indirect removal of mucus from the breathing passages of a patient. Other terms used in Australia include respiratory or cardiothoracic physiotherapy.
