Plenty of office designers and bosses like it, apparently, including billionaire New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who favors a bullpen-style office with big, open spaces and no partitions.
The idea for Bagram Batman emerged from a brainstorming session in the bullpen, the small office where military broadcast journalists think up ideas for public-service announcements.
City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, the front-runner for the Democratic mayoral nomination, said she would keep the bullpen, primarily because she doesn't want to spend any taxpayer money to redo the office.
