Other than that, the last team staying in the Big East to be ranked in the Top 10 at the end of the season was Louisville in 2006 when BobbyPetrino was still the head coach.
That's largely because many big-time coaches graduated from small colleges that play on lower levels like Arkansas's BobbyPetrino, who went to tiny Carroll (Mont.) College while others wind up at their alma maters, like Virginia Tech's Frank Beamer.
