Alan Sherry the princial from John Wheatley College told the committee "we cannot give a guarantee of no compulsary redundancies", as did Liz McIntyre, the prinicpal at Borders College.

Alan Sherry, the principal of John Wheatley College, who was speaking on behalf of Scotland's Colleges pointed out that the funding methodologies for the average learner do not apply when dealing with the most vulnerable formerly looked after young people, where double the funding was required to help support the individual.
