They urge the government to stop "dithering" over energy policy, though, and to ensure there is a system to rebut what "scare stories" may arise over the environmental impacts of shale gas.
"People need to be very responsible about these things and not to get caught up in scarestories but instead take a reasoned and logical consideration of it and do what's best for their child, " he added.
