The story concerns a headstrong private-school teen-ager, Lisa Cohen (Anna Paquin), whose innocent distraction of a Broadway bus driver leads to a fatal accident.
Paquin told me about the time LL Bean was late on a canoe delivery and one of his team members strapped the canoe on the top of his car and travelled from company headquarters in Freeport, Me. to New Jersey to make a personal delivery to the customer, who was about to take off on a trip down the Delaware river.
