镀锡铜，是指表面镀有一薄层金属锡的铜，如镀锡铜线，在线缆加工制造过程中有一定的应用。 镀锡能防止铜暴露在空气中而被氧化形成一层膜——铜绿。而铜绿的导电性很差会增加电阻。盛装食物的器皿产生铜绿后可能对人体有害。因而镀锡主要就是为了防止铜被氧化。
