邻硝基苯酚，淡黄色针状或棱状结晶。溶于乙醇、乙醚、苯、二硫化碳、苛性碱和热水，微溶于冷水，能与蒸汽一同挥发。有毒，有杏仁味。用作医药、染料、橡胶助剂、感光材料等有机合成的中间体，亦可用作单色pH值指示剂。
