蓝闪石(兰闪石)(Glaucophane)是拆自于两个希腊字,原意是指「蓝色的 蓝闪石 (Bluish)」和「出现(to appear)」之意,与蓝闪石外观相近,故有此意。蓝闪石是闪石矿物中的一种,是钠、镁和铝的硅酸盐矿物。蓝闪石很常见到。
