草酸钙簇晶是较广泛存在于植物中的一种细胞后含物，簇晶是其中一种形态广泛存在于植物的组织细胞中，结晶体的不同形态是植物药材显微鉴别的重要手段之一。经X射线衍射分析发现草酸钙簇晶属于单斜晶系，由一个草酸钙分子和一个水分子结合而成，即为CaC2O4·H2O。
