脊髓血管畸形是指脊髓血管先天发育异常形成的血管病变。它不包括脊髓血管母细胞瘤（血管网状细胞瘤）等血管性肿瘤。脊髓血管畸形占脊髓肿瘤的少部分。硬脊膜动、静脉瘘（AVF）患者中，大多数为男性，发病在40岁以上；而硬脊膜下血管畸形，男女有相似的发病率，10～30岁为发病高峰。
