翘曲(warpage)是塑件未按照设计的形状成形,却发生表面的扭曲,塑件翘曲导因于成形塑件的不均匀收缩。假如整个塑件有均匀的收缩率,塑件变形就不会翘曲,而仅仅会缩小尺寸;然而,由于分子链/纤维配向性、模具冷却、塑件设计、模具设计及成形条件等诸多因素的交互影响,要能达到低收缩或均匀收缩是一件非常复杂的工作。
