绳纹文化，是指绳纹时代人类的文化。绳纹时代是指使用绳纹陶器（因陶器外面的绳样的花纹而得名）的时代，包括绳纹人的生活、制造磨制石器的技术、陶器的使用、狩猎采集经济的发展、定居的形成等内容。
