细胞吞噬是简易的闪躲类型游戏，使用触控方式控制一个细胞在弱肉强食的世界中存活，并且不断进食让自己变大。画面上橘色光点是细胞的食物，靠近即可吸取并把它吃掉。其他半透明球状或不规则形状物体是其他细胞。当与其他细胞碰触，双方都会减少生命值（细胞上方的红色条棒），若您的细胞生命值用尽即会死亡，但若仅是受 伤，可以吃食物补充回来。吃食物除了让自己长大，也可以升级。每次升级玩家将从随机产生的两个升级项目（如加快移动速度、生命值回补速度或对食物的磁吸能 力）中二选一来提升能力。
