精细陶瓷是指不直接使用天然矿物原料而采用高度精选的高纯化工产品为原料；经过精确控制化学组成、显微结构、晶粒大小；按照便于进行结构设计及制备的方法进行制造、加工而具有优异特性(热学、电子、磁性、光学、化学、机械等) 的陶瓷称为精细陶瓷。精细陶瓷的微观结构具有显著的特征，晶相、玻璃相、气孔三项共存，均匀分布。
