混凝土防渗墙，垂直墙体的纵切图，墙是沿坝体延伸的。在松散透水地基中连续造孔，以泥浆固壁，往孔内灌注混凝土而建成的墙形防渗建筑物。它是对闸坝等水工建筑物在松散透水地基中进行垂直防渗处理的主要措施之一(图1)。防渗墙按分段建造，一个圆孔或槽孔浇筑混凝土后构成一个墙段，许多墙段连成一整道墙。墙的顶部与闸坝的防渗体连接，两端与岸边的防渗设施连接，底部嵌入基岩或相对不透水地层中一定深度，即可截断或减少地基中的渗透水流，对保证地基的渗透稳定和闸坝安全，充分发挥水库效益有重要作用。
