氯化锌是无机盐工业的重要产品之一，它应用范围极广。氯化锌易溶于水，是固体盐中溶解度最大的(25°C,432g/100g)，其原因是溶于水形成配酸H[ZnCl2(OH)]。溶于甲醇、乙醇、甘油、丙酮、乙醚，不溶于液氨。潮解性强，能自空气中吸收水分而潮解。具有溶解金属氧化物和纤维素的特性。熔融氯化锌有很好的导电性能。灼热时有浓厚的白烟生成。氯化锌有腐蚀性，有毒。 虽然目前国内氯化锌的工业生产中还普遍存在一些问题，随着工业生产的不断发展和研究、探索的不断深入，氯化锌工业生产将会有着更为广阔的前景。

Two novel phosphorous-containing flame-retardants:9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide（DOPO） and 10-（2’,5’-bis（hydroxyl）phenyl）-9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide（ODOPB） were synthesized by"one pot"process using o-phenyl phenol and phosphorus trichloride as starting materials and zinc chloride as catalyst.
