山东高唐人，1998年7月毕业于中国农业大学，获理学博士学位，1998-1999年在澳大利亚联邦科学院水土所工作，博士后。现任山东省科学院生物研究所所长、山东省科学院中日友好生物技术研究中心主任、山东省应用微生物重点实验室主任，山东省第九届政协委员。
