宏观社会学（macrosociology），表征社会学研究角度的一个范畴。又称巨型社会学。与微观社会学或小型社会学相对而言，侧重研究社会整体、社会和各个子系统、社会组织、社会制度、社会流动、社区、社会变迁等大、中型社会现象，探讨大、中型的社会结构。这类研究通常称为社会的宏观分析，或宏观角度的分析。有些社会学家把对社会的微观分析比喻为“细胞分析”，宏观的结构分析则称为“骨骼分析”。
