指供排版印刷用的规范化文字形体。中国汉字习用宋体、仿宋体、楷体、黑体（方体）和各种美术字。字形有长、扁，粗笔、细笔之分。印刷字体有很多不同的设计，每种字体都有自己的独特形态，各有不同的美观感觉。中文字字数多，设计比较难，但由于数码技术的进步，印刷技术数码化，数码字体的制作比较容易，中文字体的数量逐渐增多。整体来说，用来排内文的字体，字形走不出上述的各种字体。比较新颖的设计，用来排标题较为合适。
