分线器是成对使用。一对分线器是由两根分线器的组成。一个分线器由两个水晶头，一个模块组成，两个水晶头是通过双绞线与模块进行连接的。其中一个水晶头的排法是，蓝、蓝白，棕白、棕4根线，分别在水晶头的1，2，3，6槽内。另一个水晶头的排法是，绿白、绿、橙白、橙4根线，分别在水晶头的1，2，3，6槽内。另一对分线器的做法是相同的。只要保证两个的1，2分别是另一个水晶头的3，6颜色不必非得按照绿白、绿、橙白、橙对应的方法。
