公共物流信息平台(Public Logistic Information Platform PLIP):是通过对公共信息的收集、分析、处理，对物流企业信息系统完成各类功能提供支持功能，为政府相关部门的信息沟通起到信息枢纽作用，为政府宏观决策提供支持的系统。是指为物流企业、物流需求企业和政府及其他相关部门提供物流信息服务的公共商业性平台，其包括公共信息服务、数据交换服务、物流应用服务等，本质是为物流活动提供信息化手段的支持和保障;为企业提供单个无法完成的基础资料收集，并进行加工处理；为政府相关部门公共信息的流动提供支撑环境。 基本功能：数据交换功能，信息发布功能，会员服务功能，在线交易功能。 扩展功能：货物跟踪功能，仓储配送功能，决策支持功能，金融服务功能，容灾备份功能、综合服务功能、推进供应链可视化管理功能。
