由一系列交感神经椎旁节借节间支相连而成。交感干左、右各一，对称地纵列于脊柱两侧，椎体的前外侧面，上起第2颈椎，下至尾骨。每侧约22～25个椎旁神经节，其中3个颈节，10～12个胸节，4～5个腰节，4个骶节，下端两侧合并形成一个尾节，即奇神经节。交感干除交感神经节外、内含交感节前、节后纤维及少量内脏传入纤维。每条脊神经均借一个以上的细交通支与同侧交感干相连。
