【二十二品】 三十七道品中，四念处、四正勤、四如意足、五根、五力等二十二种均在见道之前，总称二十二品。修行者将修行时，于多境中其心驰散，先修念住制伏其心，故念住为最初；由此势力增长精进，为成四事正策其心，故说正勤为第二；因精进故无忧悔之心，即能堪忍修治胜定，故以如意足为第三；以胜定为依，信、进、念等为出世法之增上缘，故五根为第四；根之义既立，能正伏除所治之现行，牵生圣法，故五力为第五。［俱舍论卷二十五、杂阿毗昙心论卷八、大智度论卷十九］
