按切全身动脉，以体察经络气血运行情况，从而推断疾病的脉诊方法。又称遍诊，为古代脉诊方法之一。切脉部位有上（头部）、中（手部）、下（足部）三部，每部各分天、地、人三候，共九候。①上部。天候按两额动脉；人候按耳前动脉；地候按两颊动脉。②中部。天候按手太阴经以候肺；人候按手少阴经以候心；地候按手阳明经以候胸中之气。③下部。天候按足厥阴经以候肝；人候按足太阴经以候脾胃；地候按足少阴经以候肾。三部九候临床已很少应用。
